BIPP supplies RF-Pallets

Pallet handlingBipp-Plastic Pallets has supplied Lau v. Haren with the first synthetic RF-pallets (RollerForks®-pallet). Since the introduction of the first Rollerforks®, MSE have also put some handy applications on the market. With Rollerforks® goods can be easily loaded and unloaded without using pallets. In most cases goods are placed on slip-sheets, but at Lau v. Haren the specially developed RF-pallets are used. This means that slip-sheets are no longer necessary.

Lau v. Haren from Nijmegen is specialised in packaging, deep-freeze, storage and logistic handling of deep-freeze products. Distribution and transport are ordered out to others. In 2004 Lau v. Haren purchased the Rollerforks® and in co-operation with MSE a couple of wooden pallets were adjusted to 3 inserting openings for the Rollerforks®.

The inserting opening has got a width, which makes it possible for 3 Rollerforks® to carry deep-freeze products without using a slip-sheet. After a test period of one year, managing director Wieck van Haren decided to replace these wooden pallets by synthetic RF-pallets because of the strict standards in the field of storing food (General Food Low). MSE contacted some synthetic pallet manufacturers that were able to produce the RF-pallets under license.

Bipp Plastic Pallets -Holland, which is part of Royal Lankhorst Euronete Group BV, has been able to meet all the strict requirements for freezer pallets. It is not said how many synthetic pallets are used at Lau van Haren, but according to Mr Wieck van Haren at least a couple of hundred.

MSE is part of Meijer Holding, as well as Meijer plaatbewerking (a specialist in handling sheet metal). Meijer BV offers employment to 130 people of which 25 work at MSE.
