Registration opens for the Logistics Award 2006
2003 jury chose the right winner Next year, during the Logistics, the Logistics Award will be presented for the second time. We asked all four businesses nominated in 2003 about their experiences since then. The conclusion was twofold: the Logistics Award is a perfect shop window and the jury chose a deserved winner.

ROLLERFORKS®
The Roller Forks of Meijer Special Equipment was apparently the simplest idea of the four nominations. The Roller Forks would make pallet less transport a real possibility. The jury shared this expectation and presented the Logistics Award to Roller Forks. Did the system really offer as many possibilities as expected? “Yes,” replies a happy Folkert de Graaf, who is sales and marketing manager. “Everything worked out precisely. The Award certainly attracted attention to our system, which is geared firstly to the Dutch market. So far we have delivered at least 100 sets and that figure is increasing by the day because they really work. In the meantime, the original design has been refined. More rollers have been put onto the fork points and we have devised a cassette system to simplify roller servicing and maintenance. After the RollerForks®, we now also have the RF pallet, which we have launched on the market in both wood and plastic. The latest novelty is the RollerForks Flex-Pallet®, a special flat pallet made of cardboard. The Roller Forks pass between the upper and lower deck to provide added protection for fragile goods, even when they are stacked. We have also made a big impact internationally on the CeMAT with the entire system.
