 Postbus 51 is the centre for public service information in the Netherlands. It is part of the Government Information Service (Rijksvoorlichtingsdienst, RVD) of the Ministry of General Affairs. In their latest brochure “Labour risks at handling containers” the RollerForks are assimilated as help during the loading and unloading of containers.
This brochure tells you more about the most important labour risks at handling containers. These risks occur in the logistical chain of container handling: from harbour to distribution centre to the retail trade. In the brochure you can read what you have to arrange to prevent and to limit these risks and where the Labour Inspectorate will pay attention to.
The brochure is meant for employers, and deals with the most important labour risks:
- danger of falling when working with containers
- physical load at lug activities
- Exposure to gasses/fumes in containers
- Physical load during the loading and unloading of containers
- Unsafe working environments
