Before ROLLERFORKS® where first introduced, nobody could have anticipated the impact they would have on materials handling. During trials, MSE-FORKS observed that many companies did not like pallets because of their associated costs, administration, storage space issues, etc. MSE-FORKS discovered that many companies nonetheless wanted to store goods on pallets, but wanted to do away with pallets for shipping goods and to use slipsheets instead. This is why MSE-FORKS developed the RF Pallet®. The principle is based on a special entrée on the pallet’s top surface for the ROLLERFORKS®, which improves operating speeds considerably. The tip of the ROLLERFORKS® can be inserted under slipsheets/goods quickly and easily. The rollers then allow goods to be unloaded effortlessly into containers or onto pallets.
The RF Pallet® makes it possible to store goods on a special-purpose base. RF-Pallets® can also be stored in the same way as standard pallets. They can also be handled using standard forks or ROLLERFORKS®. Slipsheets may be used under loads depending on customers' specific requirements. This specially designed pallet improves ROLLERFORKS® unloading speeds significantly. Operating speed is critical. ROLLERFORKS® can be inserted quickly and easily into roller slots. They slide smoothly under slipsheets and/or loads. Freight can then be loaded into containers or trucks. The main advantage of the RF-Pallet® is that its design increases operating speed considerably. It is also possible to use corrugated cardboard, as no shear forces are applied to the slipsheet. If goods are unloaded manually at their destination, then this is the best materials-handling option. ROIs are extremely short.
RF-Pallets® can also be used when customers do not want to use slipsheets. Depending on load sizes, two, three or even four ROLLERFORKS® can be used.
